tyblacke.com is operated by Ty Blacke, an independent builder working with clients directly. Using this site means accepting these terms.
The project assistant
The assistant on the homepage is an AI tool. It exists to understand roughly what you want built and to produce a starting estimate, and it can be wrong. Nothing it says is a quote, an offer or a contract.
Scope, timeline and price are agreed with me personally on a call, and only the written email that follows that call is binding.
What you type into it is stored so your conversation survives a refresh and so I can read it before we speak. Do not paste passwords, card numbers or anything confidential into it.
Bookings
Booking a call reserves real time in my calendar. If you cannot make it, use the reschedule link in your confirmation email rather than leaving it — that time goes to someone else.
Repeatedly booking and not attending may mean I stop offering you slots.
Project work
Project work is governed by the Scope & Process and Refund & Payment policies, which form part of these terms, together with the written scope email for your specific project. Where the scope email and these general terms conflict, the scope email wins.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload or probe this site, and do not use the assistant to generate content unrelated to a genuine project enquiry. Access may be blocked without notice.
This site’s content
The writing, design, music, video and code on this site belong to Ty Blacke unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to link to it and to quote it with attribution. You are not welcome to republish it as your own.
No warranty on the site itself
This site is provided as it is. It may go down, the assistant may fail, and estimates may be wrong. None of that creates a liability, and it is exactly why nothing is binding until it is in writing after a call.
Changes
These terms can change. The date at the top of this page is when they last did. A change never applies retroactively to a project already agreed in writing.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States.
